Sime Darby Plantation is a fully integrated player in the oil palm value chain. The Division grows oil palms in its estates, harvests and processes fresh fruit bunches (FFB) in its own mills and refineries, and crude palm oil (CPO) obtained is further refined into cooking oil and various other oils and fats products. As a fully integrated player, Sime Darby Plantation controls quality of the final product by implementing the industry’s best practices throughout the oil’s production and manufacturing process.

Being an efficient planter, the highest yielding estates produce 32.1MT of FFB per mature hectare.

As an experienced player in the plantation industry, Sime Darby Plantation employs the industry’s best agricultural practices in its estates and is a pioneer for sustainable practices such as the Zero Burning Replanting Technique.
