Sime Darby Quarter Ended 30th June 2009
Sime Darby Berhad reported a net profit after tax and minority interest of RM2.3 billion for the financial year ended 30 June 2009, exceeding the Group’s KPI of RM1.9 billion by 20%. The Group recorded a Return on Average Shareholders’ Funds of 10.6% versus the Group’s KPI of 8.8%.
In a year marked by extreme volatility and uncertainty in the global macro-economic environment, the Group recorded a pre-tax profit of RM3.1 billion, a decline of 41% from FY2008, on the back of a 9% decline in revenue to RM31.0 billion as compared to the previous financial year.
