Sime Darby Undergraduate Scholarship Programme (Overseas)

Minimum Requirements

• Thai nationality
• Excellent results of Cambridge A-Level or other foundation courses to qualify for admission in overseas universities
• Individuals pursuing their first or second year undergraduate studies in Thailand Universities and have intention to study in overseas may apply AND must have latest cumulative GPA of at least 3.50
• Proficiency in English is a MUST
• Strong leadership qualities
• Active participation in extra-curricular activities and sporting events
• Candidates with at least a conditional offer from overseas universities as specified by Sime Darby will be given FIRST priority. Scholarship will only be effective upon receiving firm offer.

Service Bond Period

• On completion of their studies, scholars will be required to serve the Sime Darby Group of Companies for 4 to 6 years, depending on the duration and value of the award

Fields of Study

Scholarship will be offered to individual pursuing the following fields of study:

• Business: Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration
• Engineering: Mechanical

Value of Scholarship (Overseas)

The sponsorship covers the following:

• Full tuition and academic fees
• Living Allowance
• Books allowance
• Computer allowance (one-off)
• Settling-in allowance (one-off)
• Clothing allowance (one-off)
• Student visa and passport
• Shipping allowance (one-off at the end of course)
• Flight ticket (at the beginning and end of course)
• Insurance coverage (if applicable)

Recipients of scholarship will have the opportunity to undergo Scholars Development Programme and experience work exposure through internship within the Sime Darby Group of Companies.
