KUALA LUMPUR, 5 November 2009 - GTI Media (GTI) announced their list of Malaysia's 100 Leading Graduate Employers Awards 2009, held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The event is the premier annual event to celebrate and recognise both the strength of employer brands on campus, and excellence in graduate recruitment. The ritzy affair was graced by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, YB Senator Datuk T. Murugiah.
GTI is the world's largest graduate careers and research business in the world with offices in Malaysia, China, France, and Germany. As part of its initiative to support graduate career development, GTI conducted a survey aimed at identifying the top 100 employers which undergraduates would most want to work for upon completing their studies.
Awards were given to the most voted employers, based on the Malaysian Student and Graduate Barometer 2009. The survey was conducted on approximately 12,000 penultimate and final year students and graduates in the Malaysian Student and Graduate Barometer, from both local and foreign universities. The survey was later compiled by trendence, Europe's leading employer branding, personnel marketing and recruiting research institute.
