Terms & Conditions for the “Don't Drive To Work Day” Campaign
- In conjunction with “Sime Darby’s Don’t Drive to Work Day” campaign (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Campaign’), Sime Darby Holdings Berhad (hereinafter referred to as 'Sime Darby') will allocate 1 Sime Darby Lecture Series’ seat each (hereinafter referred to as ‘Seat’) to the 10 best and most creative entries made on www.simedarby.com/environment (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Registration’).
- The Sime Darby Lecture Series will be held on 23 November 2009.
- The participant is required to provide a photo or video shoot showing proof of the participant’s commute to work otherwise than by car in the Registration section (carpooling excepted).
- The photos or videos submitted (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Entry’) must be taken during the period from 3 to 17 November 2009 (weekdays only). Those photos or videos taken during public holidays or weekends shall not be considered.
- The photos must be submitted only in jpeg format (as .jpeg file) and should be at least 500k but shall not exceed 3MB in size.
- The videos must be submitted only in MPG format and shall not be more than 3 minutes.
- Any Entry submitted through links to files or other types of files shall not be considered eligible. If the Entry is not readable, the Entry shall be disqualified.
- The participant warrants that the Entry is original and the copyright of the Entry belongs to the participant and the Entry does not infringe any third party’s rights and that the participant has obtained the necessary permission from a third party if a third party or a third party’s property appears in the Entry. Sime Darby reserves the right to disqualify any Entry if it finds in its sole discretion that any of the foregoing warranties are not true.
- The Campaign is open to all residents of Malaysia, aged 18 and above.
- A maximum of 10 Seats will be allocated by Sime Darby under the Campaign, which shall be subjected to the terms and conditions stipulated herein. Each successful Entry is only entitled to receive one Seat.
- The Seats will be allocated by Sime Darby after the winners have been selected and announced by Sime Darby.
- Winners will be notified by email or phone call by 19 November 2009.
- Sime Darby will not entertain any Registration received after 17 November 2009.
- Sime Darby shall not be responsible or liable for the Entry that is lost in the delivery including but not limited to interrupted internet connection during the Entry upload process or data corruption after the Entry has been received or malfunction of software or hardware during the submission period.
- Sime Darby shall not be responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of the Entry, including but not limited to any misprints or typographical errors. Sime Darby assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, the Entry.
- Sime Darby shall not be responsible for any cost incurred by the participants when registering in the Campaign.
- Each completed registration must include the participant’s full name, email address, correspondence address, contact number, photographs or videos of their travel. By providing this information, the participant is consenting to Sime Darby maintaining, recording, holding and using such personal information and Entry as Sime Darby shall deem fit.
- Decisions by Sime Darby shall be final and binding. No correspondence or discussions into Sime Darby’s decisions shall be made.
- Sime Darby reserves the right to vary, delete and/or add the terms and conditions stipulated herein at any time at its absolute discretion without notice.
