Minimising Environmental Harm

Waste

Objective
To improve our waste management initiative and reduce waste through innovative approaches.
Progress
We are in the midst of starting our waste management inventory and we plan to roll out the initiatives across the Group in the future. However, some of our Divisions have initiated waste monitoring and collection management on a regular basis.

Co-composting of empty fruit bunches (EFB) and palm oil mill effluent (POME), along with other palm oil mill waste is a major initiative at our Plantation Division, as part of efforts to effectively manage agriculture waste. Our Property Division meanwhile, aims to reduce general waste by 20% in all townships and business units. This includes construction waste, office waste, scheduled waste and e-waste.
