Terms and Conditions
Sime Darby's 'Switch!' Energy Saving Bulb Purchase Programme
- The inaugural 'Switch! energy saving bulb purchase programme ("Programme") is only open to 'Eligible Households' and employees of the Sime Darby Group.
- 'Eligible Households' are defined as residences built by Sime Darby in the following Sime Darby townships:
- Subang Jaya
- USJ Heights
- UEP Subang Jaya (USJ)
- Bandar Bukit Raja
- Ara Damansara
- Denai Alam
- Bukit Jelutong
- Bukit Subang, Shah Alam
- Putra Heights
(collectively "the Listed Townships").
- Eligible Households and employees of the Sime Darby Group as mentioned in clause 1 & 2 (“Participants”) are eligible to make a one-time purchase of energy saving bulbs ("Bulbs") during the Programme period (as hereinafter defined).
- Purchase of the Bulbs can only be made between 25 July 2009 until 9 August 2009 ("Programme Period") from the following Sime Darby sales galleries:
- Ara Damansara
- Bukit Jelutong Pavilion
- UEP Subang Jaya, Wisma UEP
- Bandar Bukit Raja
(collectively "the Sales Galleries") during the Sales Galleries' operating hours of 9.30am to 6.30pm daily.
How to participate
- Participants must first do the following:
- Log on to www.simedarby.com/switch.
- Follow the instructions online and complete and submit the registration form. Registration is open while bulb stocks last.
- Print out the registration confirmation sheet.
- To purchase the Bulbs during the Programme Period, Participants must:-
- Bring printout of the registration confirmation sheet.
- Bring Malaysian National Identity Card (IC) or MyKad.
- Bring an additional document to verify address and identity (e.g. utility bills and employee ID/ access tag with photo).
NB. Participants who register as employees of the Sime Darby Group must show proof of valid employment. It is advisable to bring along a name card and/or an employee ID tag along with you.
The Energy-saving Bulbs ("the Bulbs")
- Participants may choose to purchase up to five boxes of Energy-saving bulbs.
- Each box contains 8 Energy-saving bulbs.
- The Bulbs are offered as a package of 4 Osram Duluxstar 20W/827 220-240V E27 bulbs and 4 Osram Duluxstar 20W/865 220-240V E27 bulbs per box.
- Upon registration, the relevant number of bulb boxes will be reserved for the Participants.
- The Bulbs may be purchased at a discounted rate of RM50.00 per box.
- The Bulbs must be purchased and collected within the stipulated two-week Programme Period.
- The Participants may choose to dispose of any of their incandescent light bulbs by placing them in the designated disposal containers supplied by Sime Darby at the Sales Galleries.
- The Bulbs purchased are not refundable or exchangeable once they leave the Sales Galleries.
- Standard warranties from Osram, the Bulbs manufacturer, will apply in case of any defective bulbs or in any other circumstances.

Disclaimers
- Sime Darby reserves the right to release the Bulbs to any other party if the Bulbs are not collected during the stipulated time frame.
- Sime Darby Berhad and/or any member of its group of companies will not be responsible for any liability for any injuries, loss, claim, action, demand or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with your/each household’s participation in the Programme.
- Sime Darby retains the right to use the information given to contact the Participants in future, for the purposes of the Programme. The Participant’s information given will not be used for sales and marketing purposes.
- Sime Darby reserves the right to cancel or amend these terms and conditions without notice.
By participating in the Programme, the Participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
