Supporting the Growth of Education

Education is close to our hearts. From providing scholarships via our Foundation and providing assistance for various educational programmes in the communities where we operate, we continue to assist our communities where we can to improve their access to education.

Our efforts range from providing financial assistance to developing learning centres as well as organising short term educational CSR programmes.

As a responsible corporate steward, we believe in delivering sustainable futures to our stakeholders by supporting the communities in which we operate.

With operations in 18 countries and territories, and with more than 20,000 employees, their families and local communities, we are committed to assisting those within our reach through various initiatives that help inspire and impact change.

Sime Darby creates shared value for society through economic growth and development in countries where the company has direct impact and where stakeholders may have an influence on operations. We realise that we are part of the larger society and mutual growth is important in our journey to ensure the sustainability of our businesses.

Our work with communities involves understanding local needs and finding solutions that can address social or economic issues pertinent to our businesses. Our social purpose is to support the development of society by providing them with local job opportunities, skills and education as well as investments in community programmes that improve living conditions.
